I am Nona. A raconteur with a very short attention span.
I have lived in a few cities across a few countries, which means I have spent a lot of time being the outsider looking in. That turns out to be a useful position for someone who likes to observe people and write about what they notice.
I started Nona’s Pensieve in 2009. I wrote about life, travel, books, food, and a cast of characters that wandered in and out of my days. The most persistent of them is Pappettan, a pseudonym for someone who sees the world at an angle that I find endlessly interesting.
I stopped writing for a while. I got distracted by the wrong things. Then I missed it enough to come back.
These days I live in Gilbert, Arizona with my wife, my son and my daughter. Surrounded by deserts but rewarded with amazing sunsets.
This is not a blog about anything in particular. It is a place where I deposit thoughts before they disappear. A pensieve, if you will.
If you are a Harry Potter fan, you already understand the name.
